CREW

Irene McGee host
Irene is the primary force of N1L on the air. She not only hosts the show, but also plans episodes, acquires guests and promotes the show in the press. Her endless enthusiasm has earned the praise of guests and listeners alike; recent guest Ben Fong-Torres noted that Irene "has star power" as well as "pluck, perseverance, wit and charm."

Widely recognized for her stint as a cast member on MTV's The Real World: Seattle in 1998, Irene became the first person to walk off the set of a reality television show during filming. Irene was a speaker on The Spitfire Tour, which features musicians, actors and activists talking about global affairs. Punk rock legend Jello Biafra praised her media activism and dubbed her the "Valley Girl Activist."

No One's Listening grew out of Irene's desire to share her experiences with others and to promote media literacy. "Every show, I feel like I have learned so much," she confides. "Yeah, No One's Listening is a great program!"

Chris Cornell producer
"Chris the Producer" is the other half of the N1L production equation. He plans episodes with Irene, creates the weekly schedule, acquires guests and writes material for the show. Additionally, he engineers the podcast segments, tightening the format and releasing each show on the web for both direct download and RSS subscription.

"Irene and I work amazingly well together," Chris observes. "We both get to be control freaks, but in different ways that complement each other and make the show unique. We get to laugh a lot on this show, and I think that shows."

Skye Christensen correspondent / video producer
Skye is well-known to N1L listeners in her persona as "Skye the Ladybug." Her weekly topic-related quiz segment is a show staple, and she frequently co-hosts interviews and segments with irene. Skye's new video blog debuts on the N1L site in February and is sure to become a key part of the show.

Colin White audio engineer
Colin keeps the live show running each Friday as the studio crumbles around us. Additionally, he assists in podcast editing and running segments with special technical requirements. He also provides some zen to counterbalance the frenzy generated by Irene and Chris.

Colin is also an accomplished DJ and makes the rounds in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Melissa Burnell correspondent
Melissa's Gay Report has been a favorite segment of N1L since the first show. She lends her take on the topic of the day and always brings a new perspective and a healthy dose of humor. Her job, as she observes, is "to bring it down a couple of notes."

Melissa also DJs at the Kat Klub in San Francisco.

Steve Bowman roving rock star
"Steve the Drummer" calls in and lends his wit to the show each week. He takes his duty as a roving reporter very seriously; when not on tour, he takes care to phone in from a new location: a pumpkin patch, the mall or Supercuts.

Steve is an accomplished and well-known professional drummer; his former bands include Counting Crows and Third Eye Blind. He is currently a member of the band Loose as well as a session drummer and instructor.

Frank correspondent
Frank is Irene's old computer, an old school lime-green Imac. After a very public disagreement when Frank felt threatened by Irene's new laptop, Irene reconsidered pulling the plug and put him to work reporting for N1L. Frank's cantankerous personality and questionable journalistic ethics have proved entertaining to fans of the show. Obviously, his "roving reports" are limited to locations within three feet of a power outlet.
